Nice campground. Quiet, does have some small playground equipment for kids. Camp store has a lot of stuff, very reasonably priced. It is close to a lot of stuff, and just a short drive to Erie. My one complaint, and the reason it is only 3 stars, is that the bathroom/showers are disgusting. They are filthy, and clearly not maintained. There were clogged toilets and no toilet paper. The showers had razors, dirty soap, grass, and paper towels all over them. I understand camp bathrooms are not pristine, but these were definitely not up to snuff. Otherwise very nice campground.

Although the tent sites are somewhat limited, they are set away from the RV's and are very nice. Regrettably, access to water is limited to vacant RV sites. Also, the restrooms are poorly maintained.

This campground is in the best location for fishermen Elk Creek runs right along side. The staff that was working during our stay was very friendly. We had several children in our party, the young man working the bait shop spent several hours showing them how to tie flies they loved it. My only complaint was we was told when we made the reservation we was on a double lot for two camper with water hook up, the time of year we was their it was the only site with water. The day before we arrived our site was given to another party that was staying longer. We was not prepared for not having water hook up, a phone call would have been greatly appreciated for us to make other arrangements.

First visit for us, and we stayed a week. We were looking for someplace close to Presque Isle, where we could be sure of reserving a site. Folly's End was very reasonably priced and met our needs beyond my expectations. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. There is a nice, little camp store with firewood, ice and a huge selection of fishing tackle (for the Steelhead run at Elk Creek). There was a small playground and swimming hole at the creek for the kids. Our tent site was a large grassy area, with plenty of tree cover, next to the water. Very quiet, with plenty of wildlife to see and hear. The restrooms/showers could use a little paint, but they were always clean and well stocked. Any maintenance issues were handled very quickly.

They were great made room for us at the last minute.

The weekenders did bring quite a bit more noise and some apparent rule breaking (loose dogs...though they weren't super unfriendly/smokers in the restrooms/lots of unmonitored kids). We were still relatively isolated from the commotion, however, and even after checking out some other campgrounds, we all decided that Folly's End is the place to be. We look forward to visiting again, soon.
