Finally, don't let a doctor belittle you because he/she has a degree. You know your body. Be your own advocate. Ultimately you have the final say, so don't settle for sub-standard care or defer judgement to a doctor that does not take the time to listen to you, understand what you are going through, and work with specialists who ARE trained in your specific condition(s). There are more doctors out there and many are compassionate, honest and capable. YOU hire the doctor to provide services. They don't hire you. There's my two cents. Good luck and be well.
Once you find the right doctor, it's a great place. Now that ACL is next door, blood work is very easy to go through as well. :)
They won't do anything for diarrhea or vomiting unless you have been doing so for three weeks or more. And it's against their policy for adults to have trouble with anxiety and focus. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this doctor office. They are quacks. You'll have better luck getting your pet goldfish to help with your illnesses.
This is one of the worst medical establishments I have ever been to. My wife was misdiagnosed several times, and also given incorrect medication. The staff, especially Dr Campbell, was inpatient, impersonal and downright rude to myself and my wife when we tried to describe her symptoms (which turned out to be a very serious condition) I will never step foot in this practice again and wouldn't wish their services on my worst enemy.
When I initially rated this place I gave this place 5 stars. I've since had cause to amend it. Dr. Campbell was a good doctor, but she has since left. The front office staff are also very nice. That was my positive review. Now, aside from the fact that the doctor making decisions on my care had never once taken the time to actually meet me, I found him to be uninterested in my care or even work with the specialist they themselves referred me to. Without getting into more personal information, I will say that for the first time I encountered a practice that betrayed my trust by lying to me. The first time I felt they were being less than honest, I rationalized it as possible inter-office communications misstep. After all, there had already been a couple of those regarding my care, so it was a plausable explanation. The second time it became clear I was lied to. Can't explain why they would do such a thing, but once I realized it, I knew I would never be able to trust anything that followed. Obviously I've chosen to take my care elsewhere. Bottom line: This place is good is regular well care and minor routine issues. It appears you will likely see a resident for your care - as I've said I've never met the doctor who made the decisions for my care. If your situation is more complicated, or becomes more complex, I highly suggest an Internal Medicine doctor as your PCP. UPMC and St. Vincent's websites have the find-a-doc feature to help you find one, and UPMC offers actual patient reviews. .Check the reviews from other patients to see if the doctor listens, shows compassion, and a willingness to work with specialists in giving you the best possible care.
